Volunteer Opportunities
Election Committee - This committee is made up of 12 randomly selected volunteers who meet three to four times during the election process: early February to validate petitions and officially declare the candidates for director; mid-February for a candidate meeting if applicable; the day before the annual meeting in June to count mail-in ballots; and at the annual meeting to count the ballots cast in person and to report the winners of the election. A term is one election cycle from February through June each year. Compensation is $50 and round-trip mileage for each meeting attended.
Member Advisory Committee - This committee is made up of 27 volunteers (three from each director zone) and their spouses who meet at least twice a year. This committee acts in an advisory capacity to the board and management staff. A term is two calendar years, with a maximum of three consecutive terms (total of six years). Compensation is round-trip mileage for each meeting attended.
Scholarship Committee - This committee is made up of nine members, one from each director zone, who meet one to two times per year to select scholarship winners. A term is three calendar years. Compensation is round-trip mileage for each meeting attended.
