Adams Electric Scholarships for High School Seniors attending Other High Schools

Working in partnership with Adams County Dollars for Scholars

 

Sons and daughters of current Adams Electric Cooperative members living in Pennsylvania, who are high school seniors attending other schools (ex. vocational, technical, cyber, private, home-schools, or public schools outside of the districts coverage territories), may apply for $750 Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarships.

How to apply:
Print a copy of the application from the link below. Complete the 2-page application and mail it to the address provided on the form. Applications are also available at the co-op’s offices in Gettysburg, Shippensburg and York.

Scholarship Application

To qualify for a high school scholarship, the applicant must:
• Be a high school senior;
• Must have at least one parent or guardian currently receiving electric service from Adams Electric Cooperative with an account(s) in good standing, and the parent or guardian must live in Pennsylvania at the time of the student's application for a scholarship;
• Be accepted in a post-secondary program at an accredited institution (two-year, four-year or technical);
• Maintain a cumulative high school grade-point average of 2.5 or above;
• Show a commitment to community; and
• Show a financial need.

Applications must be postmarked no earlier than Jan. 2, 2012 and no later than March 16, 2012.
