Adams Electric Cooperative 2011 Annual MeetingRegister Now! Adams Electric will host its annual meeting on Saturday, June 11, at the Allstar Events Complex, 2638 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg. The facility is air-conditioned and handicap-accessible. Registration and exhibits will be open from 8:30-10 a.m., followed by a business meeting with During the business meeting, Big Springs High School senior Travis Gilbert, Newville, national spokesperson for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Leadership Council, will speak about his experience with the cooperative Youth Tour program and the honor of being a national spokesperson. In addition to the business meeting, a
children’s program with games and entertainment will be held indoors for those age 5-12. Children must be pre-registered. Children under age 5 must stay
with their parents/guardians. Officer

Police Department will be in the children’s area offering the Child ID program, sponsored by Adams Electric. Following the business meeting, a barbecued chicken lunch, prepared by the Adams County 4-H, will be available to those in attendance. In addition, the classic rock group, The Willys, will perform a one-hour stage set. The Allstar facility offers nearby handicap parking, plus regular parking spaces accessible by shuttle. Door prize drawings will be held after the business meeting. Members must be present to win. In May, all co-op members will receive an invitation to the meeting and an election ballot via first class mail. Meal reservations are required by May 27. Ballot votes may be cast by mail or online by June 7, or in person at the annual meeting on June 11.
