How to pay your bill

Your electric bill is for electricity used prior to your current meter reading date. For your convenience, we suggest you read your meter and report the reading on or about the same day each month.

Adams Electric offers the following payment options:

  • Sign up for ElectriCheck direct payment (automatic bank draft). Fillelectrichecklogo7-05.jpg out a one-time form and have the bill payments automatically deducted from your checking account.
  • Use E-bill. View your bill through E-bill and authorize payment from your checking account with E-check over the Internet. (E-check is different from ElectriCheck in that members choose which day to pay their bill each month, rather than have the payment automatically deducted from their account on the same day each month.) Report your meter reading(s) at the same time.
    • If you have not already done so, sign up as a New User at the E-bill site. Just provide your account number and e-mail address, and select a password.

      PLEASE NOTE: The E-bill service is backed up from Monday through Friday night from 11 p.m. until midnight and from 11 p.m. every Saturday night until 2 a.m. Sunday mornings. Service is unavailable during those times.

  • Pay-by-mail. Send your bill and meter reading along with a check for the amount shown on the bill to: Adams Electric, 1338 Biglerville Road, P.O. Box 1055, Gettysburg, PA 17325-1055.
  • Pay in person at any of the cooperative's three district offices: Gettysburg District, 1380 Biglerville Road; Shippensburg District, 204 West King Street; and York District, 200 Trinity Road.

Level your payments with budget billing

Level out high and low periods on your monthly electric bill by planning a fixed, budgeted amount each month. Budget billing can be set up at any time during the year, as long as you have 12-month billing history and a current zero balance.
