Round-Up for Project Helping Hand
Payment assistance program
Show your kindness with change
Thanks to Adams Electric members, Project Helping Hand has been able to help keep the lights on for
over 250 fellow members this past year. When those members fell on hard times, they turned to Project Helping Hand, administered through local human service agencies.
You can help by allowing the co-op to "Round-Up" your electric bills. Join the thousands of co-op members who have their electric bills rounded up to the nearest dollar amount. The difference in change goes to Project Helping Hand. This program helps less fortunate co-op members, who are unable or struggling to pay their electric bill. The deductible payments average 50 cents per month.
How it works...
- If your electric bill is $85.36, you would pay $86. Your bill would show that you are giving 64 cents to Project Helping Hand.
- Your Round-Up donation and checks payable to Project Helping Hand are tax-deductible.
- Your annual donation will average $6, and may be as small as 12 cents, but will never be more than $11.88 per year. All donations go directly to help qualifying Adams Electric members, who are struggling to pay their electric bills.
- You may join the Round-Up program any time during the year by contacting the cooperative at 1-888-232-6732. You may cancel participation whenever you wish. You may stop your participation at any time by simply notifying the co-op.
- If you are interested in benefiting from the program, contact the cooperative toll-free at 1-888-232-6732.
If you are currently participating, Thank you! Your donations will continue until you cancel participation with the program.
