The workshop is sponsored by Adams Electric, the Gettysburg-Adams Chamber of Commerce and the Adams County Land Use Committee. The agenda will offer helpful strategies for both business owners and homeowners on how to reduce energy consumption, particularly in ways that are friendly to the environment. A session with topics geared mainly for businesses of all sizes will be held from 1-5 p.m. followed by a residential seminar from 7-8:30 p.m.
Topics include rate cap removal and Act 129 compliance; alternative energy installations; installation and system designs for geothermal; energy conservation grants/tax incentives; and permitting issues surrounding alternative energy installations.
Please contact the Chamber directly at 334-8151 or at www.gettysburg-chamber.org to register. There is no charge for Adams Electric members so identify yourself as such when you call.
