Co-op Elections

Candidates seek new terms on Adams board

As a member-owned cooperative, Adams Electric is guided by a board of directors comprised of qualified members who wish to serve. The co-op is divided into nine zones for the purpose of electing directors and to ensure that Adams Electric has representation from all areas of the service territory.

Each year, three of those zones have open seats to be filled through the election process. In 2011, board positions in Zones 3, 4, and 9 are open.

Those zones comprise the following areas:
Zone 3 — Adams County townships of Berwick, Conewago, Germany, Mount Joy, Mount Pleasant, Oxford, Straban and Union; and the boroughs of Abbottstown, Bonneauville, Littlestown and New Oxford.
Zone 4 — York County townships of Conewago, Dover, Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Newberry, Warrington and Washington; and the borough of Dover.
Zone 9 — Cumberland County townships of Lower Frankford, Lower Mifflin, North Middleton, North Newton, Upper Frankford and West Pennsboro; and the borough of Newville.
